- Curtains should be 2 1/2 to 3 times the width of the window. This is for 2 panels, each should be 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 times the window width. (Libby Langdon)
- The curtain rod should be 20 inches wider than your window, so it extends 10 inches on each side to give your window a wider feeling than it actually is. (Libby Langdon)
